Disposable Email FAQ
Understand the limits before receiving email
Organized into four areas: usage, delivery, security, and long-term forwarding. If a verification code is delayed, go straight to the troubleshooting guide.
Getting and recovering an address
Do I need to sign up for a disposable email?
No. Open the tool page to get an address—no name, password, or phone number required.
How long is the address valid?
The default validity period is 3 hours. You can extend it, up to 24 hours from creation. The countdown shows the time remaining.
Can I recover the address after refreshing?
While it is valid, the same browser will try to restore it using a local token. Recovery is not guaranteed after clearing data, switching devices, ending a private session, or expiration.
What happens when I click “Get another”?
The system creates a new 3-hour mailbox and deletes the old one. Messages sent to the old address are not transferred.
Verification codes, links, and attachments
Why haven't I received the verification code?
Check the address and countdown, then wait 60 seconds. Sender queues, rate limits, or the recipient rejecting disposable domains can cause delays or prevent delivery.
Which verification code should I use after multiple requests?
Usually, use the latest code received after your most recent request. Older codes may no longer be valid.
Can I receive attachments?
Disposable mailboxes do not retain attachments, and messages larger than 100MB are rejected. Use a long-term email address for important attachments.
Can I reply to emails?
Disposable mailboxes are designed for short-term receiving, not full two-way email. Use your regular email address for ongoing conversations.
What does it protect?
Does a disposable email make me anonymous?
No. It reduces exposure of your real email address, but network and email services may still process necessary technical logs.
Can I use it to sign up for banking or healthcare services?
We don't recommend it. Important accounts require a long-term, controllable email address that you can recover.
What should I do if I receive a suspicious link?
Don't click it. First check the sender's domain, the context, and the link destination. TmpWay will never ask for an email verification code or password.
Forwarding aliases
How are forwarding aliases different from disposable email?
Aliases are designed for ongoing contact. They require a verification-code login to manage and forward incoming messages to your regular email address.
How many aliases can I create?
Each account can have up to 100 aliases. You can pause, resume, or delete them individually.
How long are messages archived?
Up to 30 days. Messages under 50MB are forwarded and retained; messages from 50–100MB are forwarded only; messages over 100MB are rejected.
